The 10 Pointer (Recursion Project)
Recursion in my words would be the repetition of an event happening again and again. For my project I thought of something that I liked and try to show it on paper. In my drawing I depicted 5 basketball hoops inside of the other one, I call it the 10 pointer.

Scratch Project
While exploring learning the difficulties of the Scratch Project I created a program of two cats interacting with each other. I learned how to make my sprite (cat) move around with different keys on my computer. Also developed a way to change the background by pressing keys.

Lightbot
The first task you need to complete are the two proctors, (PROC1 and PROC2). You need to contemplate where your character needs to move and how they move. The other proctor you need to focus on is lighting up the grey squares, after this put the two proctors together with some direction and jumps and test is out.

E-Learning Infographic Reflection
Infographic:
When first starting this Infographic project I struggled to find a topic. I did not know what direction I wanted the assignment to go. During one of the 7:00am classes we went around the table and said our ideas for our project. There I was gathering information from my peers and branched out and started creating my own ideas. In the beginning I had an idea to a topic about muslim hate crimes and how social media affected it. After researching and being told it was too broad I had to change or narrow my topic down. I sat there and thought what have Muslim people been a victim to and ugly stereotypes people see them as. And then it came to me.
Muslim all over the world are being associated to the crimes of the devastating attacks of 9/11. Yes, a group of Muslims did bomb the Twin Towers, but you can not think that 20 people of one race did something bad not everyone in that race is bad. It is ignorance about this that allows the media to a frenzy. Overall from all the researching and brainstorming I found most interesting was the media portal of Muslims now. If you search up Muslims caused 9/11 you can see countless grotesque propaganda or racist pictures of them with offensive words below it.
This was my first time making an infographic and it was difficult, but interesting. I say this because when typing or trying to insert a text box into my project it zoomed in a lot or froze the page. Other than that adversity, I had no problem using it. Inserting pictures and unique fonts were fun to use. I did use any playful font or bright colours but I did have a clear infographic. The organization of my infographic was very easy to follow. I first gave a little summary about what I was talking about then gave my first set of statistics then my second set of statistics. After the facts I gave a background information about Muslims hate crimes after 9/11. After this I talked about the social media at the time saw Muslims Although I enjoyed using it I would probably never use it again. This is because it was kinda hard to see the text and it was too much information a one slide. Going forward I would use Power Point but I would recommend this to someone who maybe have a difference experience as me.

Luke looking at a Mirror
The first semester of Polytechnic high school was a great transition from middle school. The academic part started off easy, but it began to build and I did not know how to manage. Throughout the first semester I began to struggle not asking and making appointments with teachers. Now reflecting back on it my study skills were not great.
The one thing I am proud of is that I drastically improved my Chinese skill of talking and writing the language. My Chinese teacher, parents, and myself were very proud and hoping I will keep it up. The previous years in middle school, I was not very interested in learning thinking it was more of a chore than a privilege. Even though I was doing better I was not satisfied. I was getting good/okay grades on the tests, and I did not want to improve. Then I had a realization which made me think about my education, which motivated me to work even harder. During my free periods I began to study and making effort to show initiative and willingness to learn. whartonmagazine.com457
Physics class with Mr. Schmoke has probably the most fun activities in all of my classes so far this year. So far, the best activity/lab we have done a lab was challenge shoot Nerf gun bullets and predict where it would land.

Women and Leadership: Moving Forward
We had to measure the distance between the shot and the wall. There were multiple calculations our group had to do. Usually during labs and other physics activities I do work but I always felt like I could have helped more. At the end of the first semester I tried to make a effort In this lab I felt that I contributed to the group greatly and was very productive throughout making the write up of it, and executing.
This past semester my goal was to communicate with teacher. Sadly I did not do at all. My fix mindset thought I could manage without asking for help. Sometimes I would go in for a question or two rather than full clarification on a homework or test we got back. It was always hard admitting I needed help and that is what I am working on right now and going forward onto the second semester of high school.
This E-Learning class has taught me quite a lot about technology and secret computer tricks. I only utilized one unit so far in freshman year and that was the VoiceThread we did recently. We had to create a story using the same story line as the book we read, Persepolis. Then we had to hand draw scenes in black and white. After this we had to use VoiceThread to narrate our story which we learned how to do a few weeks before in this class.
